Be weird. Be random. Be who you are. Because you never know who would love the person you hide.
~ C.S. Lewis
This question is not an easy one. The word “most” has me tripping up.
I value characteristics about myself, but I don’t know what I would deem most valuable. All my traits that I see any value in have a good side and a bad side.
I value my tendency to think outside the box. It helps me to find humor in life, solve problems, and be creative. However, I believe my husband wishes I would follow recipes more exactly, straying from the instructions does not always end well.
I value that my parent’s taught me the importance of doing what is I believe is right, how to be different from the world, even when it is lonely. The ability to be weird and to stand strong on my values.
An example of this would be, I have never taken a sip of alcohol. I have been in many situations where I was the only person not drinking. It is always uncomfortable, people look at you like an outsider. I’m not saying that it is always bad to drink alcohol, I have simply made the decision not to.
Those two things I value about myself. They both make me different and sometimes put me in uncomfortable situations. But that is okay, character is built when life is uncomfortable.
What do you value about yourself?
