Hope – A Word to Rest In

What’s your favorite word?

Hope.

In Hope, there is comfort.

When life is hard or I am overwhelmed, knowing God is in control is like a beam of light shining through the darkness clouding my vision. I have hope for the future because God is sovereign over every day. He is worthy of my trust, even when I do not understand the circumstances or the pain I am feeling.

I have hope of life beyond death because of Jesus. I do not need to fear the grave or the end of my life.

Hope requires faith. It grows from a relationship of knowing who God is and knowledge of what his Word says.

I have hope for my future

“The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.”

Proverbs 16:9

I have hope that He uses all things for good

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28 ESV

I am here for a reason

Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

Psalm 138:16

I have hope of eternal life

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16

My friend, if you are still reading this, God loves you, and there is hope still to be had. Even in the darkest of circumstances, God is always good, and there is always Hope when we have faith in Him.
